@Tubarinn well, the car weighs 600kgs, has 8 forward gears, diff lock. So you wouldn't really need loads of low end torque would you? The car has so much pulling power in low first that it would actually be able to pull itself up a wall, if the friction was there naturally.

Front wheel drive or 4wd, this car is no match for a real off-roader, it hasn´t got the strength of a real off road vehicle and the engine is too small and doesn´t have enough low end torque. But the car is probably a good fun to drive and own :O) !!! Enjoy you lucky ones !!!

From an off road point of view, i partly agree with you, a 2CV is a less fragile offroader than a Mehari. And we have seen the video where a 2CV 4x4 beats a LR..

Except that this is a Mehari 4x4, not just front wheel drive. And the 4x4 version will climb a 45 degree sand slope fully loaded. By the way "crappy drive train"? The gearbox and and engine is quite reliable.

This a front wheel drive plastic car from Citroën with a crappy drivetrain !!! How can it be more fun than a real off-roader like a Land-Rover ?? This is a total rubbish !

i think a Mehari is Much More Fun then a land rover.
